Extremely professional staff. We often walk into a new vet and find their staff to be unfriendly and people who seem to not like dogs…which is so very off putting. This was not our experience here. If it’s your first time, be aware the online coupon is for one pet only. We brought both of ours as it said first visit, but it is limited to one. Dr. Underwood was wonderful and took the time to explain where others had not. I feel very comfortable here with my special needs pup.

I love Dr. H, but talking to receptionist is unbreakable. Too much upselling by force!!!! I.e. couldn't get allergy prescription refilled because my dog "needed another exam", it had been six months. When I questioned that, I was told it might not be allergies, it might be something else. Despite the symptoms were the same (licking paws). Then she gets snotty and mentions my dog need every vaccination that is possible to give to my dog. Keep in mind by law, rabies is the only mandatory vaccine. I went back to my old vet, full of compassion and always trying to save me money. Guess what!? My dog just needed a refill and was examined. Times are hard for people, this is unacceptable to be honest.

We had an emergency with our lab Red, and had called to schedule an appointment. When things had taken a sudden turn for the worse, they were more than accommodating, kind and helpful, and got us in for an emergency call. It was our time to say goodbye to our best friend, and they were all so kind and comforting during the entire process. The staff is all so wonderful, and I would absolutely bring my animals for care.

I am forever grateful to Dr. Underwood and the staff at Hergenrether Animal Hospital! When my 3mo puppy started vomiting and passing out, they got us in immediately and were very attentive to her needs. They treated my baby girl with SO much love and respect. They were entirely transparent with pricing (which was VERY affordable considering the circumstance) and only ran tests that they felt were necessary. Dr. Underwood explained everything in a way that was easily digestible and my puppy left with a clean bill of health and some anti-nausea meds. I couldn’t have asked for a better a better care team! We will absolutely be back for our veterinary needs!
