I graduated from the business administration and marketing program. Returning back to school as a mature student can be intimidating, and trying to start during covid makes things even more complicated. MBC made it an easy transition and guided me through the whole process, which has been a huge stress relief. My teacher Marianne has been an integral part of my professional growth, she has not just taught me many invaluable lessons, but has also become a professional friend and mentor. I have previously attended a competitor's campus, but I can say that I felt more welcomed here, and I love the school spirit. It is so cool to walk into the school and be greeted by a friendly face, and holiday celebrations, or see displays of recent student work. Like everything the experience is what you make it, and it's all dependent on your attitude and work ethic, but Maritime Business college makes it an easy place to grow. So easy that I'm going back again, :D This time I'm going to be exploring 2D/3D animation and I can't wait!

I called this college to ask if I could enroll in this course with a work permit. The person on the phone said that it is ok because the course is 6 months long and the other 6 months are dedicated to hands-on experience. We scheduled a meeting and the first question they asked me when I arrived was where I was from. I am from Ukraine. Right after that they told me that I would have to get a study permit to enroll in the college. Quickly after that they offered me a tour of the campus and I was shocked to see their equipment for the Medical Device Reprocessing Technician course as it was very disappointing. I worked as a Lab Technician in Ireland for a year and I have some knowledge about this process and have done sterilization multiple times myself already. When I heard the recruiter describing the curriculum it didn't even sound like it would be appropriate for a high school. He called an autoclave an oven, which are very different devices and without that knowledge someone can get seriously injured as it not only increases the temperature but pressure too. So at the end of the meeting he said that they do not provide a work permit after completing the study and that I WOULD HAVE TO GO BACK HOME AND WAIT FOR IT THERE. There is a reason I am seeking shelter in Canada and everyone is well aware of it or at least should be. When asked about what laptops they provide for students (because it is a mandatory part of the payment that they buy us a laptop) he didn't even say who the maker would be, I am not even talking about a model at this point. Also after reading some comments from 3 months ago I would like to let you know that the course is CAD 3,000 cheaper now:) Take it as you will. I wish you all not to waste your time and take away something from this review!

I am a Veterinary Assistant student, and was terrified of returning to school. Right from James at the main entrance, to all of the administrative staff, and Melissa, It has been an amazing experience, and makes me excited to come to school. They have smaller class sizes, and that makes it to be easier to ask questions, get assistance, and be able to learn. They are easy to talk to if a situation arises, and Melissa is extremely approachable, professional and a very caring instructor. Not to mention I am able to bring my pets in and they get to have exercise, and socialization in this course, while the students learn how to properly restrain, cut nails, clean ears, and more. I am so glad that I chose to come here!

I am in the paralegal program in this school and although its only been 3-4 weeks I am enjoying it. My classmate are all nice and my teacher encourages questions without making me feel dumb for asking them. All in all a great experience so far and I am looking forward to seeing what the coming months bring.
