Closest grocery store in town as it’s centrally located in the city. Clean and well organized store with easy accessible shopping options. Prices are bit higher as compared to other stores but it’s worth it when you need something urgently and don’t want to go farther.

not a bad store, but there are some pretty big problems. there is a ton of garbage, broken glass, drug paraphernalia and sometimes used condoms all over the parking lot. lots of people congregate in the lot, and since there is no garbage provided, there is a sea of tim hortons cups you need to WADE through to get to the store. the entire property is covered in garbage and it's only picked up once a year. Then there's the dumpster. i have lived in several major cities all over Canada and have never smelled a dumpster that awful in my entire life. there was a hot humid day a few days ago and i could smell it from the next shopping plaza over. Last but not least are the several aggressive hostile employees. One in particular is a large, young, dark curly haired guy who does carts that loves to smirk at you while deliberately blocking your way or stepping into your personal space all the sudden. This has happened several times and is actually a criminal code offence. Most of the other employees are pretty nice but there are a couple weirdo guys that love to stare you down completely unprovoked. Keeping people like this on the payroll, especially in an environment that is full of cameras, is a gigantic lawsuit generator. It also repels a lot of customers, but in a way that is hard for management to figure out. If there was another grocery store within walking distance I would go there instead, but I am stuck with Metro. On the plus side the girls doing the cash are really nice and very quick to help.

I have mixed feelings about this place and giving it a review. It's a staple place in my life, has competitive prices, convenient location. I liked it better when it was open later, but who didn't. Heres my main beef, I was told that I couldn't get bones cut smaller for my dog, but in the pictures I'm posting there, they are😒

Usually the store is fine, kinda expensive though. Today I got separated from my mom in the store and was looking for her when a member of staff rudely scolded me for wearing sunglasses inside (I have extreme light sensitivity) and then dragged me (metaphorically) to the cash. I don’t know how I did anything wrong or why I was profiled, I had no items with me I was just looking out for my mom. I felt extremely embarrassed, uncomfortable and unwelcome. Edit: changing it from 2 to 1 star because apparently this is a common occurrence and I just haven’t seen it until now because I’m pale.
