Customer experiences
The service— when consistent —is excellent. At our first appointment, we were late by five minutes and a staff member had us reschedule later for that day. We even tried to phone to indicate we would be late to be respectful and no one ever picked up the phone despite a few attempts. So that we can make the best of our rescheduled time, we were looking at the earring choices so that we would be decisive upon our return later that morning. Subsequent to that another person was late when they arrived and they were taken. I said nothing. I had a subsequent appointment on another day, we had to wait 10 minutes into our Appointment time. In that time, the person serving us was continuously answer answering the phone and delaying the start of our appointment. So, punctuality is something that is inconsistently expected. There is one employee there in particular who always seems to be quite sour. Her tone is something that needs to improve. The other employees however, are very pleasant. I think it is off putting when you pay upfront and a tip for service is requested when you haven’t even seen with the quality of the Services and I think that is something that should be bypassed unless payment happened after the fact. To determine level of tip before services have not been rendered is presumptions.
Booked an appointment months beforehand for 4 persons piercings and ended up adding one more the day of - 1 for my daughters 14th bday (3rd lobes), 3 persons 2nd lobes, and 1 cartilage. We were 10 minutes late which we took accountability for and, I apologized with no ackowledgement from the woman who we first met with upon arriving. She coordinated our appointments and seemed annoyed we were late and from the beginning, provided a below par customer experience for us. She handed me the ipad and asked to fill in everyones info, and when i was done, was just told to wait, I had to check in with her twice on the next steps needed (she was doing someone eyebrowns I believe at the same time). I understand we were late, but i dont think we deserved this kind of treatment; as if we were an inconvenience to the technicians, and invisible until they were ready for us. I would also like to point out that there was only 1 other customer (eyebrows) at the salon when we arrived and only 1 other person came in during our time there. The technique of piercing was great as well as information provided to care for and how the piercing is done, as well as the communication during the actual physical piercing. All of our piercings turned out great and it is now day 3 and ll is well. On line booking was easy and my experience when calling into the store was also plesant - whoever helped us on the phone was cheerful, professional, and helpful. For the price of the piercing, this company should consider including the cleaning liquid bottle. Perhaps a reminder to your customers that if you are 5 or more minutes late, your appointment will be cancelled or will need to be rescheduled, this would indicdate to the customer that latecomers are not welcome, which is how we felt. The vibe and whole customer experience (being there for our first time) was definitely not what we expected for a high end salon, especially since 5 of us came and spent our money there, a minimum of $100/ person. With a group booking like this, I was expecting a much more plesant appointment. Seems like they are all business and no focus on the customer experience, which is very important in this kind of industry if you want return customers or a good review. I wouldn't recommend this salon; I am sure there are many places that can do basic and complicated piercings with a softer and more welcoming attitude. Customers are paying for a positive experience, not just a good piercing.
Danielle did my third lobe piercing and made the whole experience so easy and comfortable. She was very friendly, professional, and explained each step, which really put me at ease.
Amazing experience with Jenny for my daughter's first ear piercing! She was very knowledgeable and patient with us to make sure everything went smoothly.
