Customer experiences
160 Driving Academy is a great school if you’re serious about learning from passionate staff. You can rest assured that you will have the skills necessary to succeed as a Professional Truck Driver in the Industry!!! Study, Practice and willingness to learn will set your path to success!! Phenomenal Instructors too!! I learned so much and I am confident that the skills I learned will take me far!!! I’m truly grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from the most talented Instructor(s).
If you're up for the challenge then you're in the right place. My time here was as successful as I wanted it to be, reason I say this its because students show up to class expecting to be taught one on one and its not like that or expect to drive a truck on day one. You have to show up with a positive mentality ready to ask, engage, move around practicing different skills. Just know that the instructors can only do so much and the rest its up to you to study the material they provide and to put it to practice. thank you to all of the instructors Dave, John, Russ, Mike, Matt, Joe and Igor. Delaney I appreciate all you're help from the moment I stepped in your office.
Ngl My experience with 160 academy was not the best. Classroom Portion was okay just a little boring. Very informative though. When I got to the yard portion of it , I didn’t learn much. I was never taught by the instructors for-real I was taught by other students. Every time yu ask the instructors any questions they would get mad and make you feel slow. The only Instructors I can say taught me anything was Mike , Jon , & Matt. I always addressed my issues with My class Instructor Delaney & she handled it the best way she could. Appreciate her hearing me out with all my concerns. Overall I’d say if you are going to go to this school be prepared to teach yourself, learn from others, watching videos for the first whole week & nothing being done about it unless you complain about it numerous amount of times. If you want to deal with that go to this school.
My experience here was good. I did have previous trucking experience and this was to upgrade from Class B to Class A. There were times of waiting around but I do understand that with a high intake of students it was needed to keep high hour students going to finish. They do have priority on refresher days and test days for testers. A huge thank you to all of the instructors Dave, John, Russ, Mike, Matt, Joe and Igor. Your years of experience taught me a lot while I was there. Also a huge thank you to Delany, she wasted no time in getting me enrolled and set up.
