I ended up paying almost double for what I was quoted on the phone due to a clause that I had no idea about. I didn't want to make a big deal of it to the movers because they weren't the ones that called me and gave me the quote. To be honest, I just wanted them out of my condo so I could get on with my day. So to start, I stated I had a three seater couch that I wanted removed through their online request form and wanted to use this condo discount for $67 off. Via email, the company said we charge $169 for a three seater couch and that I could apply the discount. I get a call saying they actually have a better deal where they can remove the couch for $89. I thought great 👍🏽 The day comes the guys get here and he says Oh this three seat couch has recliners so it's heavier and therefore we can't apply that quote and need to charge you $169 plus tax! I told them what I was quoted and what was discussed. The manner the guy was talking sounded like he couldn't do anything to honor the quote and asked if I still wanted the couch removed. In my head I just Whatever and said you're already here so yes, please remove the couch. He said sorry for the misunderstanding. I said not to worry, I blame the guy on the phone that gave me the quote. At the end, they gave me a $30 gift card for the misunderstanding and asked us to review them online 9 stars or better which I thought was a bit funny. This company would be a last resort if I need furniture removed. The guys that removed our couch were super friendly and courteous which I appreciated but like I said I just wanted the service done and over with after they gave me that updated quote.
