When I went to purchase they said it was in “perfect condition". it needed brakes and rotors on the front. It was missing a turn signal not broke but missing it also needed all new filters and a passenger side visor an alignment. Not a great way to sell a car as most would have these repairs done before selling. agreed to take 400$ off not enough to pay for all repairs but close. We took the car to get the enhanced vehicle safety inspection and state inspection done. took a little less then an hour and they seemed to barely look at it. They forgot to put a state inspection sticker on it so after purchasing I had to go back to the garage again. That was just the start. After leaving I stopped to get gas and noticed a small crack on my windshield that was never told to me before purchasing. I had to pay someone to try and patch this up you can still see it but hopefully it wont crack more). Within a month maybe a month and a half, ionly drove it maybe 5 times. I had 11 warnings lights go off. At first they went away when I turned the car off and back on. I only drive about once a week so it took a couple weeks for me to realize they kept coming back on. eventually they stayed on all the time so the problem was getting worse. I thought maybe dirt on a sensor as a lot of people have problems with the front sensor. So I cleaned it and drove again days later same issue. I was also told to check a fuse or maybe it’s a dying battery, I checked both not the issue. I reached out about 4 months after buying the car. They kept asking who sold you the car, they sold me the car but make it sound like its someone else. My guess it this is some way to avoid responsibility. As I have had nothing but issued with it. A couple phone calls and several emails and a couple months later. They reach out to me asking me to send pictures of warning lights. Almost a month goes by a couple more emails and over a month later they reach back out. they said it has been almost 6 months but they would still have someone look at it since I had problems since I bought it. We make an appointment I show up and they don’t show up for over an hour. They say its an abs wheel speed sensor. They come back in about 35 minutes. Hand me a dirty part with a broken clip(they got it from the junk yard). We take it to a garage and the part doesn’t work. They go get another one and this doesn’t work either. We make another appointment. they send me a message saying they got a new part from the dealer on April 4th and will make an appointment. I message several more times on April 28th they finally get back to me tomorrow works at 3. I live an hour and 40 minutes away. I show up and the garage knows nothing about it and they don’t have the part. I call and he says ok I will call you right back at about 12. I don’t get the call back from him until after 2. He laughs and says I must have made a mistake even though I have his text messages verifying. So I head home this is the 2nd time I missed half a day of work or more and spend more then20$ to go there and over 3 hours of driving each time. I tell him I have to take it somewhere local. He says he will reimburse me half the amount. I take to a mechanic. They verify it was the wrong sensor and replace that and the clip they had it attached with a zip tie. No wiring issue. The problem still isn’t solved. They then take it apart and looked at wheel bearing. There was a chunk in the bearing like it got hit with something. The mechanic said it looked like a used bearing or installed incorrectly But couldn’t confirm that 100%. installed a new bearing and its fixed and drives a little better. It cost 1050$ I sent all bills and mechanic statement. They say they will only reimburse for the sensor since that was there fault. Even though I had the issue since a month after I bought it and wasnt fixed correctly by them(that was mechanics opinion) That was a month and a half ago no money received. I will attach photos to verify. I would stay away. I needed a car and I took a chance but it has definitely not been worth the hassle.
