Customer experiences
Tonight we visited the local Montana's. They're really leaning on the steak/rib house style, lots of meat on the menu. We tried to get baked potatoe with our meal. They are all out. Another person ordered mashed potatoes and after taking the order, the server came back cause there also out. No potatoes in Alliston what the heck. The steak came only warm, fries were hot, so looks like they plated the steak while waiting on the fries. Also the one meal was supposed to come with "fresh Veggies" but it was just green beans. Not like mix of vegetables. What took the cake tho, was we ordered Sizzling Mushrooms with the steak. They sent it out on the flat cast iron plate for Fajitas instead of the bowl shown in the photos and sprayed sizzling hot oil all over the table and my hand. A manager came to the table due to the complaint and offered, wait for it. A free dessert. An 8 dollar dessert for a hot oil burn. What the hell. We had dessert at home, so I said no thank you so she gave us 15% off the meal. For such a safety concern, 50% would've been more helpful in showing empathy. Won't be going back because of the lack of common courtesy and empathy.
We dined as a party of 6 (five adults and one 9-year-old). From the start, our original server showed little to no interest in serving our table, which was noticeable to everyone. It was uncomfortable, and frankly disappointing. Another server later came over and told us she would be taking over because his shift had ended. However, this turned out not to be accurate—our original server was still there serving other tables more than an hour later. The food was mostly acceptable, but my wife’s fish and chips were not. The fish was mushy and cold in the center. She tried to eat around it but ultimately couldn’t. A few of us tasted it and agreed something was wrong. The manager handled the situation politely and offered to replace the meal, which we appreciated,but was declined.In it's stead, we settled for an ice cream sandwich as a replacement. At that point, though, we just wanted to leave. Overall, while the manager was courteous, the service experience—especially at the start—left a lasting negative impression.
We were out having dinner with family and I ordered the Smokehouse wrap without chicken or bacon and usually it’s full with rice and other items to fill up the missing meat and it came pretty much without rice! I took a pic compared to my husbands wrap with meat. I alerted out server who made things right. The manager came over with the new wrap and it was the way it usually was. Unfortunately it had to go in a take out box but They apologized and gave me a free dessert to go. I was happy that they fixed the problem and were very empathetic over what transpired. Thank you Montana’s!
Went with a large party where two servers were taking care of us. They both handled the large group extremely well. Kris was the server who was taking care of our table and she was wonderful. Very enthusiastic and kind while delivering great service.
