Customer experiences
I've always had a great experience here. Everyone is super nice. I went in for my cleaning and exam today feeling kinda bad because I have a hard time keeping on top of my dental hygiene, especially lately, but Hannah and Dr. Kian were both very understanding, encouraging, and gave some great tips. They also have a monthly draw at reception for an electric toothbrush! And TINY LIP BALMS. My teeth feel very clean and happy.
I would give upper fort Dental a 5+, they are very professional and very friendly. They give u reminders so u never forget your appointment. I was told I needed a root canal and to save my tooth. I was hesitant at first because of all the horror stories that I've heard, Dr. Carly had said there is nothing to worry about, and u know what? She was absolutely right. She(and her crew) was excellent with this procedure. I do believe it also has to do with the dentist who does it. I highly recommend going here, u will not be disappointed. (I actually had a fear in going to the dentist but after coming here, I feel comfortable.) Thank you! And will book a cleaning very soon.
My husband and I have really loved Upper Fort Dental! It always feels like the staff there are trying to do what’s best for us. We have been working through the new Canadian Dental Benefit application process and they have been super accommodating with pushing back appointments or holding off on more expensive treatments until we have our coverage. It’s a beautiful and bright office just across the street from where we live. Super convenient if you live or work downtown! We would highly recommend them.
My Initials are OHC, I been a patient of this establishment since 2021. I like Dr. Hamilton, what I do not like is that she did not address the infection I had for almost half a year and instead just billed for things that she is allowed to do without referring to someone that has experience and could’ve done it. I had 3 appointments with Dr. Carly Hamilton between July-August this year. My issue is that she chose to ignore the gum infection that I had that was causing all the symptoms and do fillings and even reassured that the pain I had related to the infection was just because I needed a mouth guard, so I got the mouth guard and the treatments she recommended. Nothing changed and if anything my pain escalated from a 7 to a 10 in less than 24hrs. I went to get a second look by another dentist because the pain increased every day after the fillings and the use of the mouth guard. I was told the mouth guard is not well fitted, the dental work she performed was not priority and that she should’ve told me that instead just reassuring that nothing was wrong and not addressing the gum infection. I even brought it up to her stating that my family doctor stated that the pain increase makes her think it is an infection by saying “I think my wisdom tooth has hooked roots and that is what is giving me the pain”, she reassured me it was not it and that I just needed a mouth guard and fillings and that once that was taken care of that the pain would be gone. So I followed her recommendations, even went in debt to follow up with the treatments she recommended and assure me that would end with my issues. After months of pain and after reaching out to multiple dentists in the city I was finally able to find the solution to my pain, but not hustle free as nerves in my face were damaged and I will be facing other consequences due to that. I was told that if I wouldn’t not reach out this time the infection could’ve spread further onto my body and could’ve succumbed to the infection. I will be filling a complain with the dental association as 1) I am finding out I could’ve die from this infection since it was spreading to other parts of my body, 2) the mouth guard was not necessary it was definitely a money grabbing thing and 3) I was told that if she is an expert in what she does she should’ve know that the symptoms that I described to her, all pointed to a severe infection and treated that as a priority instead just billing for fillings and a mouth guard, she could’ve done that after she addressed the infection. I won’t be returning, will be asking for a refund for the mouth guard and will be filling multiple complaints for negligence. Before I get a reply stating that I should’ve reach out privately. My husband and I did called to discuss this two different times yesterday at 1pm and the day before after lunch but like never before, there was no answer.
