I had an amazing experience at Durham Dental Centre in Ajax! The entire team is professional, welcoming, and genuinely cares about their patients. From the moment I walked in, I felt at ease thanks to their friendly staff and state-of-the-art facility. A special shoutout to Leah, hands down the best dental assistant I’ve ever encountered! Her passion for her work shines through in every interaction: she’s attentive, skilled, and makes the entire visit so much more comfortable with her warm and caring approach. Leah truly deserves recognition for the incredible energy and dedication she brings every day. I highly recommend Durham Dental Centre for anyone looking for top-notch dental care in Ajax!

I wasn’t going to post a review, but after some time I feel it’s warranted. I visited Dr. Anne over a year ago, and right from the start the experience was negative. The front desk staff were vulgar and rude to both myself and my father. Dr. Anne told me I had “free touch-ups” without specifying any timeline, so I naturally assumed there was no expiration date. I never signed anything or received this information in writing either. When I booked my touch-up appointment (less than a year later, since I live abroad), I called the day before just to confirm. I had a feeling something would be off, and unfortunately I was right. I was told there would be a charge since it had been “over a year.” I explained that I had actually booked within the year but couldn’t travel sooner due to needing an emergency passport. The receptionist snapped back at me, repeating, “It’s been over a year. There’s a charge.” Later, I received a call quoting a price “between $150 and $350 total.” I agreed, but after driving an hour to the office, I suddenly received a text from an unknown number (this is the first time they have EVER texted me) stating it would actually be $250 per tooth. I turned around and drove an hour back home. This office, including Dr. Anne, operates carelessly and seems focused only on money rather than patient care. I strongly recommend staying away from this place.

I have consistently had poor experiences at this clinic, and it’s clear that the issues are systemic rather than isolated. Appointments are frequently delayed by 45 minutes or more, often due to double-booking, with no apology or acknowledgment from the staff. This demonstrates a serious lack of respect for patients’ time. Dr. Anne, unfortunately, does not appear to prioritize patient comfort or care. She often rushes through appointments, and her overpowering fragrance is entirely inappropriate in a confined clinical setting—especially where sensitivity and hygiene should be paramount. The facilities themselves are also lacking: the washroom is frequently unclean and missing basic necessities like soap or paper towels. To make matters worse, the front desk and support staff are routinely rude and dismissive, showing little regard for patient experience. The consistent lack of professionalism, cleanliness, and patient care at this clinic is unacceptable and reflects poorly on its management. I would strongly advise others to seek medical care elsewhere.
