A1 was great to work with. Trevor was a great tech and Will was an awesome installer. He worked exceptionally hard through cold and snow and did a great job. Everyone was communicative and responsive making for a great experience. We’re happy with our new setup and loved working with them. You might pay a tad more for A1 but the experience you get working with them is top notch.

READ THE ONE STAR REVIEWS. THEY ARE FROM THE LAST YEAR. A1 is a high pressure sales organization with quotes 3-4 times that of competitors. This service feels like a scam. I cannot understand their high google reviews, but the yelp review is 2.8. It makes me suspect they pay to have reviews boosted on google. We have never needed to repair our garage door in 10 years of home ownership, so we were entirely new to the experience. A1 is highly rated, so we called them out. Our technician, Preston, was great and tried to be as honest as possible within the confines of A1 rules. We did not know if we needed a repair or a replacement. We needed an expert to help us understand that. We were quoted $2,300 to replace springs and reinforce the track anchors, which were coming lose. Garage door replacement quotes were from 15k to just under 6k. The sales professional was high pressure from the start, making it clear that our order of operations was not usual. Typically, a technician comes in and does some work to repair (seemingly without getting consent from the home owner as evidenced by some of the comments from our technician) to basically force you into using their replacement services, because the cost of the repair is rolled into the cost of the replacement. Our technician was "talked to" because he didn't do any repairs BEFORE we got quotes on the doors. At this point, I was shell shocked on the price and said I wanted to pause to get another quote. The sales technician was clearly very annoyed. There are even more details that make our interactions with A1 feel gross, but these details are the more important. Less than an hour later we had quotes from Sonic Garage Door (well rated on all platforms!) out and they blanched at the quotes we discussed from A1. Their quote to repair was $300-500 for springs and springs/reinforcement. We are getting a new garage door from Sonic for $2,800. Save yourself the money and the feelings of being pressured and cheated. Do not use A1!

Ryan was extremely knowledgeable and personable. Very patient responding to my questions and concerns. It was such a comfort to have someone explain the mechanics well and at a level I could understand. Put me at ease. One of my concern was the seal on the bottom of the garage door that needed replacing. Ryan was very thorough inspecting the overall garage door hardware and made recommendations. He fixed my garage door with what was needed at this time and put my mind at ease. I would recommend A1 Garage Door Service.
