Grooming services at Brooklyn Kennel are to be avoided at all costs. Go somewhere else. Our dog had repeated skin issues last year until we went someone else as an attempt to resolve and the issues went away. After lockdown ended in March, the new groomers were still closed and we returned to Brooklyn and the results were nothing short of horrific. We were advised by a vet that the clippers the groomer used were, dirty, dull, the the hair was cut too short and was more than likely pulled rather than cut which caused massive irritations under the jaw and on the belly. The irritations caused our dog to immediately start scratching at where he was cut too close immediately after he was brought home. We took him to the vet immediately and called Brooklyn the next day for a call back from the groomer. No call back came. We called again more than a week later to get a reply and threatened this post if we did not get a call back to speak to the issues. The owner claimed it was not her issue as the groomers were contracted yet they still operate under the Brooklyn Kennel name. She obviously has no control over the dangerous services of those they choose to work with or the simple fact that their contractors would not even have the decency to call us back. They seem to find his acceptable as they let it continue. Avoid this business at all costs. If this is how they treat dogs during grooming then I would expect that the same lack of control and care exists during kennel services.

Caring staff that gives all dogs the attention they deserve. Our dog loves it here, he happily bolts inside and doesn't look back. The play area looks great and there a lots of activities for dogs to do; toys, digging, running, exploring. Apparently they group dogs based on play-style which is nice. Our dog is a rough wrestler and we wouldn't want him hurting anyone, but he still has a fantastic time and is well tired by pick-up. Reasonably priced with good pickup and drop-off windows that work with a busy schedule. They only take one visitor at a time at the desk, just ring the bell and wait, someone will be out shortly.

I have been using Brooklin Kennel for boarding of my dogs for over 20 years. The dogs play outside most of the day, the staff is passionate, and loving towards the dogs. Charlie loves it there.Highly recommended.

We've tried other places before Brooklin Kennel and this kennel was the only one that took the time to cater to our dog's specific needs. The staff are super friendly and my dog absolutely loves coming here. We used to worry about leaving our dog at other kennels, but we have absolute confidence in the ability of the staff here.
