Honestly the WORST insurance I’ve ever had to deal with. They take months just to even get someone to look at your car and then when you take it in to get it fixed they delay confirming what they’ll pay for and won’t pay for all the damage. And they also don’t even want to pay for the rental for more than 2 days when my car has been in the shop for over 2 weeks now. I cannot say this enough but this is the worst insurance company I’ve ever had to deal with. And not to mention the customer service! They are rude and no help whatsoever. I had dashcam evidence of them hitting my vehicle and they still denied fault

I previously wrote a bad review for this company but have since changed my tune. I reported a claim in mid December and it was approved and paid out in a month. I will say I had to call quite a bit to make sure things moved along and had a difficult time reaching the adjuster initially, but Mark the supervisor was very responsive and the adjuster eventually straightened everything out for me. I think they are just very busy but if you call enough they will get things done for you. I will say if you want anything done you will have to get transferred to a supervisor to get answers. So keep pushing if you are trying to make progress. Overall I’m pleased with how everything turned out with our claim process even though the initial stage was tough.

They cancelled my policy for non-payment even though I set up auto payments. They mailed a notice to a previous address. No text, email or call. I called to pay any balance and reinstate the policy. They told me I that I missed the reinstatement window by 7 days and that I would need to reapply. I spent several hours on the phone- they quoted me a new policy for $900 more annually stating “if you don’t care enough to insure your home, than neither do we.”

We had American Modern for around ten years and never had a claim. Imagine our surprise when we received our policy renewal notice in November and found the cost of the same exact policy had quadrupled because of where we live and without taking into consideration the fact we have made our home pretty much fire safe as attested to by the Fire Marshal. AMIG definitely DOES NOT have integrity. We did contact the company twice but was told there was nothing they could or would do each time. A truly reprehensible outfit!
