I loved American taxi due to flat rate and courteous drivers. But i had bad experience twice in the last week. First of all inspite of informing in advance that i will be doing only card payment the drivers after the ride inform that the payment machine not working and ask forcash payment only. If you dont hace cash in hand they ask to go to nearest ATM. Additionally the driver from Ohare kept the on watching video on het phone during the full drive which was dangerous.

We used American Taxi Chicago for pickup from O’Hare and my credit card was double charged. When I called to rectify the situation the guy said “So what do you want to do about it?” and after obtaining my reservation number he said “We will look into it” and just hung up on me. I never received a call back and when I tried to call again no one answered. I now had to file a dispute with my bank to see if I can get the extra charge removed. Will never use this company again and will tell friends and family the same.

Pre ordered a taxi for pickup at midway weeks in advance. Kept on getting the runaround even with having an order number. I kept getting a text order is not filled text 1 to wait for taxi or 2 to cancel. Don’t use them. This is why people use uber and lift.

Very efficient service. Booking is easy via a text or phone call. Chauffeurs are courteous and have never been late. Once my son left his phone in the car and the driver called us and coordinated pickup! Highly recommend
