I enjoyed the dental assisting program here at SODC. It was a 10 month program that explored the complexities, importance, and significance of a dental assistant's role in dentistry. They provided a background knowledge of ethics, legal aspects, practice management, charting, radiography, sciences and more. My instructor, Anne, was one of the best teachers that I have had the pleasure of learning from. Not only were her lectures interesting, but they have shaped my learning experience to becoming an amazing dental assistant who can provide patients with a standard of care that they truly deserve. The clinic opportunities are helpful but there could definitely be more clinical practice if the school is looking to improve. I would definitely recommend this school's dental assisting program to anyone who takes their education seriously. Be sure to do your research and find the school that is truly meant for you!

To ANYONE that wants to be a patient here please DO NOT waste your time, and money it took a family member more than 10 appoitments we are talking each appointment 3-4 hours not counting driving time waiting just in the seat. I feel very bad to all the students that go here its crazy how much they stress them. Most of appointments is the students waiting for teachers to come give them permission to continue. The school has its rule to do certain steps each time even if the students is doing well they do not allow them to do more in one seating. I do not recommend this place to anybody please save your time and money somewhere else

Applied on-line early March to be a patient, as heard they were desperate for patients. No response. Called and left messages several times. No response. Called again and finally spoke to person who confirmed yes, they needed new patients and someone would contact me right away. That was 3 weeks ago. Guess they don't need patients so much
