I needed to tear off and replace my 40+ year old tar and gravel roof on my 100+ year old house in San Mateo. I got a bid from a local roofer who had done some work for me about 10 years ago - his bid was about $53,000. I told a friend who said, please call my roofer, John Andrews, of Andrews Roofing and Construction based in Oakdale. He does a great job at a better price. John came out the next day and gave me a price including all the other roofer's elements for about 40% less. I signed the contract. His team worked quickly, cleanly, and smartly. He dealt with the permit process, did an exceptionally high quality job, and collaborated with me on several elements. As the roof was getting finished, I noticed some damaged siding on another building and asked if he could fix those. Again, he was very thoughtful and thorough. I’ve hired Andrews Roofing for 2 of my rental properties roofs now. One was about 10 years ago. His price was very fair and when there was a manufacturing issue with some of the shingles (they would slide off the house) he came at least 6-7 different times to repair the sections that had the defect. Never charging me anything for coming back a repairing the damaged area. I needed a different roof in Modesto done earlier this year and he was able to complete the roof before the storm arrived to ensure that no damage was done to my house. Highly recommend Andrew’s Roofing! Prices are fair, great work, and he is honest!
