I recently dined at Appatha Samayal in Trichy’s Cantonment area and had a mixed experience. The restaurant offers a variety of South Indian dishs The restaurant’s ambiance is welcoming, with a comfortable seating arrangement and pleasant decor. The staff were courteous and attentive, ensuring that our dining needs were met promptly. The service was efficient, and the food arrived in a timely manner. We ordered a variety of dishes to get a comprehensive taste of their menu. The South Indian meals were flavorful and well-prepared, reflecting authentic regional tastes. The spices were balanced, and the ingredients tasted fresh. However, the chicken biryani was underwhelming. The rice lacked the aromatic richness typically associated with biryani, and the chicken pieces were not as tender as expected. This dish did not meet the standard set by the other items we tried. The pricing is reasonable for the portion sizes and the quality of most dishes. However, considering the lackluster biryani, it might be worth exploring other options on the menu that showcase the kitchen’s strengths. Appatha Samayal provides a pleasant dining environment with commendable service. While their South Indian meals are delightful, there is room for improvement in their biryani preparation.

Went in with their reviews and they stood out. Chicken biriyani made from seeraga samba rice and chicken curry omlette was a good combo. Good ambience, value for money and great taste are making this a must try restaurant in Trichy.

Nice ambience with nice food, really appatha samayal has the taste and touch of typical south indian appatha’s. Its located in the central region of trichy so whoever travelling can come and visit this place. Actually we from chennai used to have food whenever crossing trichy. The taste is so good for this affordable cost. Must try mutton briyani and mutton nalli. Nalli here will be so awesome.

A less crowded quality restaurant non- vegetarian restaurant in Trichy. Food items are delicious and made with quality ingredients. Especially the oil they have used seems quite fresh to me. Although the dishes are slightly costly it's quality convincing. Atmosphere is good. Not that much appealing. Yet we can hangout with our friends and families. Staffs are so friendly. Whenever I have visited this restaurant, i felt so lonely with a very few customers were there. Actually the staffs were more than the customers. Parking. You'll have plenty of parking area here. Mutton curry dosa and mutton kola was so nice. One of the best restaurants in Trichy if you are a nonveg lover.
