When we began our home hunting journey in Bardstown, my wife and I knew that a critical component for us to have a successful search began with the right Real Estate team. We did not want just anyone who knew the area, but someone whose professionalism, insight, and dedication to their craft would help us overcome our blind spots and enable us to secure the right property. We were referred to Mike and Kathy Ballard, and that is how we came to know the came to know the team at Area One. Sure enough, through Mike and Kathy's hard work and diligence, we have our dream home and are proud to call Kentucky our Home!

We went with Mike and Kathy to sell our home after recommendations from several friends. We tried to sell it ourselves first but quickly realized we didn't know what we were doing. Mike and Kathy came right away and helped us get our house on the market. We sold during COVID and we incurred many delays with appraisals and USDA approval for our buyers mortgage. During all of the delays, Mike kept in communication with us and assured us that we would get the house closed. None of the delays we unfortunately had to deal with were the fault of Mike or Kathy, yet when we were at risk of losing the rate lock on the house we were buying, they were willing to take care of the fees for us, even though we bought a for sale by owner place and did not use a realtor. This shows that they truly care about the people they are serving. They were great to work with and were very friendly! I would/will recommend them to anyone!
