Sorry this review is way overdue, but I really want to share how grateful we are for Art of the Dog. Our rescue pup Cooper came to us with pretty serious PTSD. We had already tried a few trainers before, but nothing really worked—he was still so anxious and shut down. Thankfully we found Art of the Dog, and after their three-week program the change has been incredible. Cooper is more confident, calmer, and so much happier. What made the biggest difference is that we finally learned how to communicate with him better. Because of that, he trusts us more and we understand each other in a way we never did before. We’re beyond thankful to the amazing trainers here. This program gave Cooper a fresh start and gave us hope as his family. If you’ve got a rescue dog who’s been through trauma, I can’t recommend Art of the Dog enough—it’s truly a game changer.

I can tell the owners have a ton of passion for this that extends well beyond just the business. We got updates every day with instructions and progress (as well as our pups health and mental status). Few times she had loose stool and they informed us immediately and provided fresh made food for her. On the final day our dog’s instructor met us in a park and spent an hour + walking us through everything. She’s picked up so much, we’re excited to see what the future brings with our big, now well trained, girl! Highly recommend, they’re an all around great service.

My dog Murphy was a monster when I first got her. She was completely out of control and, having been rescued from the reservation, she had a terrible habit of eating everything she could find. Her scavenging resulted in two different extremely expensive life-saving surgeries in two months. I tried for months to train her on my own, but nothing seemed to work. My only two options were to give her up or get help training her. Art of the Dog saved her life. They not only trained Murphy to be an extremely obedient dog, but also did a fantastic job breaking her habit of scavenging. Murphy is now an amazing dog who is attached to my hip everywhere I go. I also have her trained off leash now when we go on walks. She is far healthier and far happier than she has ever been and so am I, and it’s all thanks to Art Of The Dog. Art Of The Dog is without question worth every single penny and is one of the best companies I have ever engaged with in my life!! 10 stars.

Art of the Dog was the best decision I could’ve made for my puppy. I was looking for a board and train program for my 8-month-old dog, and what truly set Art of the Dog apart was the initial call with one of the founders, Ian. We spoke for an hour about my goals and their program, and even if I hadn’t chosen them, I could tell he was genuinely happy to help and answer all my questions. That level of care and transparency gave me immediate confidence in their approach. During the three-week program, I received daily updates with photos and videos, which made me feel completely in the loop. My dog worked closely with CJ, who was an incredible trainer—patient, knowledgeable, and clearly someone my dog enjoyed being around. The entire support staff was just as kind and caring. You can tell they truly love dogs, not just training them. It’s only been a few days since graduation, but I’m already blown away by the results. My dog walks beautifully on leash, responds to commands, and seems noticeably more confident and happy. One of the biggest perks is their lifetime support—it gives me real peace of mind knowing that if any issues pop up, I’ll have a team I trust ready to help. A huge thank you to everyone at Art of the Dog Canine Academy for making this such a rewarding experience—for both me and my dog!
