As a 4 decades long former retail employee evaluator, I am not impressed by the staff at Thrifty Sisters. I had a figurine that I was interested in purchasing and took it to the cashier. The figurine should never have been put out on the sales floor as it had several areas where it was in obvious disrepair. It was overpriced as if it was new. I asked about having the price adjusted for its condition as I have the patience and skills to repair it. The cashier got shirty with me and placed the blame for having it on the sales floor in its condition because "someone else" had priced it. She said that she would just put it in the stockroom and repair it later but would not adjust its price. This was the perfect piece for my project so I acquiesced and bought it. Needless to say, this does not speak well to this shop having a church affiliation. I will not be returning. Truth be told, Goodwill staff generally are superior.
They had cute stuff but nobody spoke to me or even asked me if they could help me. Compared to all the other people in the store. I put all my items back as i watched them communicate & assist other people that were not my color. Will not come back.
Extremely overpriced. They should consider changing the name to Boutique. At least people will know before they walk in that it is not a thrift store. Also, disappointed to hear the ladies in the back sorting thru clothing talking about each item they are going to keep. I’m not saying they aren’t going to pay for it. Nor, am I saying that this isn’t a normal practice at every thrift store with donated goods. But, they can at least show a little more class and not be loud enough for everyone to hear. I wasn’t the only person that could hear them. Another customer also heard them and said “disgusting” and left. I probably will not be back.
May I suggest extending store hours to meet customer needs. 3 stars for quality of merchandise. The store was filled with several customers and everyone was politely asked to leave because store closes at 4pm on a Tuesday. People were trying to come inside as well but were turned away. As a small business, customers should come first. Not sure what the hurry is but who runs money out the door...guess you don't need it. Those same customers including myself walked across the street and gave Redemption our business instead.
