Maintain communication with your insurance adjuster BEFORE, DURING, and AFTER engaging a roofer. 2. Acquire an accurate estimate that itemizes tasks, materials, and associated costs. 3. Share your approved scope of work from your insurance company only AFTER you've selected a trusted roofer. 4. Get clarity on the insurance supplemental claims process from your adjuster. 5. Understand how your selected roofer uses supplemental claims. Pay close attention to the items for which your roofer submits a supplemental claim, what is approved, and what is denied.
