If you have a small business, do not use them. Sheldon Reder was fantastic. However, the place has become an absolute mess since Atlas took over. For mine and other business, it’s been nothing but forgotten filings, taxes filed incorrectly, horribly delayed/late filings, and misinformation. Some of their staff cannot even figure out whether or not a filing has been accepted. They cannot get 1099s out on time (it’s July). The issues are stupefying and too bad. As stated, Sheldon Reder was great to work with. This review is based on my own experience in 2022 and the experiences of few of their other clients (now also former) in 2023. After learning other people were having major problems with them still, a year after the merge, I felt I should warn fellow businesses and non profits. I do hope things improve for them. If I hear they’ve improved, I’ll remove this post. Until then, the potential small business or non profit client should probably find another tax company.

Although our taxes did get done at the promised price, we've elected to work with another firm moving forward. Last year was our first experience using this firm, and we barely made tax deadlines on 2 occasions (we received documents for immediate completion and return with 1 business day to work with). When I expressed discomfort surrounding waiting until the last minute for tax documents, the response was essentially, "we have a lot of clients, and it probably won't be better in the future". When I wrote to tell them that we'd be working with someone else moving forward, the response was verbatim, "Thanks for letting me know. I'll get you removed from our lists." Overall, we found this to be a very impersonal experience and did not feel comfortable with their practice of waiting until the day before a tax deadline. I suspect that they are very knowledgeable and good at what they do, but have lost any interest in providing a good client experience.

I just had to fire Atlas CPAs and Advisors because they did not care about my small business and their attention to detail with tax filings was unacceptable. They filed it incorrectly and they were incapable of doing book reconciliation for my business. I'm not sure what kind of business they are trying to run but it is certainly not an accounting company I recommend anyone go with. They used to be better but when they became Atlas, I noticed it kind of went down the drain from there. I wish them luck but they get a 1 star from me.
