Beautiful, spacious bookstore in the Homewood section of Birmingham. Nice area with lots of dining choices close by. Great selection of kids books and games as well as adult fiction, nonfiction, cookbooks, gift books, puzzles etc. They offer a discount plan as well for frequent shoppers. Family-owned.

I'd rate 100/100 stars if I could. Perhaps my favorite bookshop experience ever, and certainly my best experience in the Birmingham area. MK was such a pleasure to get to know this morning, helping to orient me around the shop, and my personal favorite part of my experience this morning was the poetry section. It's incredibly challenging to find a poetry section now that consists of more than Shakespeare, Beowulf, and other required HS reading. I was so pleasantly surprised to see some authors I hadn't seen since college, and be introduced to some new poets who were fantastic. Left with more books than I came for, and an incredibly warm, hospitable experience. Thanks MK for some Monday morning joy, and I'll be sure to be back to see you soon.

Great selection of books - big titles too! I love how they have staff picks & reviews for some of the books. I’m a picky reader when it comes to buying books but the staff have excellent recommendations!! Got a cute classic book cover from here!!
