Customer experiences
Getting a car with this place has been such a nightmare and it is ongoing. First vehicle I got with them needed a new engine after fighting with them they gave me another vehicle told me I wouldn’t have to put a down payment on it, then back tracked and made me give them 1,500 I was so upset and in tears that day but they kinda just laughed it off and said I should be able to afford that. Fast forward a bit the Altima they gave me ended up needing a transmission, they put a used one in and it started slipping. I was then talked into trading it in. They have me paying 57,000 for a 30,000 dollar car. But I just said okay I can work with that. Dax had told me at one point he would refinance the vehicle and to come in for the paper work when I got there he was very rude and stated the economy was bad and so he wouldn’t allow me to refinance it. When I asked question about why and what changed he got really rude and said I was trying to strong arm him because I was upset he lied. Fast forward a little bit more, my car was loosing power and when I had it looked at by another dealership they stated that there was a gps tracker in my car that was pulling to much power because of where they had it which is why my vehicle would cut out while driving and my lights wouldn’t work. They over charged my card for two payments and when I had to skip a payment due to that they now say I’m over 30 plus days past due on my payments. Mind you they take it directly out of my account which is why they was able to take two payment out. This place is awful they will over charge and lie to you! They also lie about GPS tracker in the vehicles. Double check your paper work I had to get a lawyer to start looking over mine because nothing adds up.
The sales people are awesome and they will give you a great deal. However, dealing with their finance and their front office is a nightmare. I recently have to take some time off of work due to a health concern and my finances were affected. Long story short All of this happened right as I got the vehicle and on my most recent payment, I was $1.50 short, the front office finance lady told me it's not her problem. Charged me a $27 late fee and threatened to repossess my vehicle. If I had another option or the means I would go elsewhere. I suggest anyone else do the same. Save yourself the trouble.
My dealership decided to stop taking my financier on my last payment and unfortunately I had to deal with this place. I have never in my almost five years of paying off my car had a problem using my credit card with my dealership. I was able to always work on building up my credit and/or use my credit card during hard times. Thunder City refuses to take a credit card over the phone or online. I have never heard of a business refusing to take money, but this is essentially what happened to me with Thunder City. Now not only is my last car payment going to be even later, I have two drive two hours away from my hometown in Ardmore where my dealership is located to make my last payment in cash here since this ignorant place refuses to take my card. I am not impressed at this huge inconvenience and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
Great place to get a car if you need one. However, don't piss the front lady off promise you will lecture you about how irresponsible you are and when you ask her to stop, she will tell you that you need to hear it. I can't make this stuff up...
Auto center is a used car dealer.
