Customer experiences
Nice Aussie inspire coffee spot with lots of options including flat whites. Aussies know their espresso drinks. Nice vibes, and seating inside and out. Friendly staff. Good iced americano, I’ll be back to try the treats, the Aussie Magic drink, and the beans (they seem to have a cool selection, at least based on the packaging!).
Really cool little coffee shop in the Distillery District. I came to check it out because of the reviews and it did not disappoint. The cappuccino was delicious and I had a blueberry stone as well which was pretty good!. Would definitely come back for the cappuccino. The staff were friendly as well which is always a plus.
Arvo Coffee 17 Gristmill Lane, Toronto, ON M5A 3C4 Rating: 4/5 Drink Ordered: Flat white - Lactose free milk ($4.94 CAD) ⸻ First Impressions Located in the distillery market, Arvo is a popular choice. Its wooden furniture, high unfinished ceilings and concrete walls give it a rustic feel. Although busy, it’s a relaxing environment with its dim lighting ans r&b/soul music playing in the background. ⸻ Coffee Quality I had a flat white with lactose free milk. Espresso: sweet floral aroma - perfume like, balances acidity, medium light sugar sweetness, sweet honey flavour that leaves you with a Pleasant and lingering sweet finish Milk: Smooth Beans: Phil and Sebastián ⸻ Ambience & Amenities Wi-Fi is available and there are outlets scattered around. Seating includes wooden tables and chairs, 2 armchairs and some conversation sets inside and outside . Large yet calm crowd. ⸻ Overall Arvos is not just in a great location, it offers quality coffee giving the other cafes in the area a run for their money. I look forward to my next visit.
I showed up near close, so I was sort of rushed through. I get it. They weren't rude about it at all but I didn't get to spend a great deal of time, and had to get takeaway. The coffee was pretty good. Nothing outstanding, but a solid cup with nice flavour. The space is really nice, and so was the barista. Out of all the cafes I've tried so far in the neighbourhood, this is definitely where I would come again for coffee if I'm in the Distillery.
