Nice place to visit, take a hike on a trail, drop a fishing line, kayak, and/or just relax. The sound of the water over the dam was thunderous close by, but soothing a bit further away. Some paths to the water, slightly difficult to navigate and not really easy to access waterways to stand comfortably and fish. No fish were even biting today, though the waters were recently stocked. Lots of people, young and older were out enjoying the lovely weather and nature. Some signage would be welcome to get better informed about the park facilities as well as give any additional helpful info to increase historic knowledge and usage of the area.

Beautiful historical structure that powered an industrial textile meal that was first created in the early 1800s. It's now part of Patapsco Valley State Park and adjacent to a very small parking area that gets very busy. The surrounding Park is one of my favorite places. Note that the historic part of the area is mostly degraded or demolished by a new private owner. The church on the hill across from the dam is from the original town and was built in 1879.

I figured 55 degrees outside in February would make a good visit. And it was awesome. Parking lot was few more to filled. So different from other people who posted pictures. Still beautiful. Iced River 💙❄️.

Very nice trail to walk people come in and out I took my dog for a walk he enjoyed. Bring wipes they can get pretty dirty from all the mud. Parking is not great so get there early. If you park at the bottom you’ll have to walk up on the side of the road to the trail. Of you park at the top you have to walk down to the dam.
