I went in for a wash and cut, which cost £35. From the start, I sensed the hairdresser might not have been having the best day, and unfortunately, this did affect the experience. During the wash, the shampoo bottle accidentally fell on my head. He said, “Sorry love, it flipped,” but didn’t really check in to see if I was okay, even though my head was hurting a bit. Accidents happen, and I was ready to move past it. I tried to keep things friendly with some conversation. He asked where I was from, and I asked back, but it felt a bit cold. At one point, I crossed my legs and was asked to put them down, with no explanation, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. The haircut itself showed that he had experience — the overall cut was technically good. However, he didn’t ask how I part my hair before starting, and he cut my fringe differently than I had requested (I asked for above the eyebrows, but he cut right on them). When I asked for it to be a little shorter, he cut about 2 cm more without checking again, and in the end it was too short for my liking. After the cut, he asked if I wanted my hair dried. I said yes, thinking it would be a simple dry, but he blow-dried it and added a £10 charge, even though I didn’t want a blow-dry. I didn’t feel this was clearly explained. In the end, while the haircut was decent, the overall experience didn’t feel like a relaxing or professional treatment. I left feeling a bit disappointed and uneasy about the interaction and extra charge.

I have a dry cut today but the price is £35, not ￡25. Ali said the £10 is to blow dry my hair. I feel cheated. He spary water on my hair and cut them. Later, he blow dry them. He does not ask me if it is okay to pay extra. If this extra work charges, put them on price list. No one wants surprise at the end. Not recommend this hairdresser.

Went in December 2023 for a half head of highlights as a birthday treat. Was there for over 5.5hours where this would normally (at other salons) take 2-3 hours due to my fair hair. They did not have a colourist and instead had a 14 year old work experience girl, who, whilst very nice, did not know what she was doing and wasn’t being paid (I asked). When she was checked on, she was told she had made a mistake on numerous occasions which just prolonged the time parts of my hair was in bleach. After 5.5 hours I had to leave and my hair had been so bleached that another hairdresser told me I had been scalp bleached and the damage was permanent until it grew out. I was blamed for leaving “early” but it was already 30 mins longer than they had told me to put aside and was 4 hours longer than Booksy had booked it in for. My hair was so badly damaged that other hairdressers offered to help for free, but I have had to continue going for appointments to rectify it back to normal, which has cost me. It would seem they cannot do colours until they employ another hairdresser, be warned!
