Customer experiences
Had a fantastic day/night in the blustery weather playing darts, making new friends, watching football, & having great bevy’s served by fannnnnntastic staff, ie/ Jack from Ireland! This is a beautiful Scottish Pub worth checking out. We will be back next time we are in TO! ♥️
Love this place. It’s everything you want in a classic pub — great atmosphere, solid crowd, good energy without being over the top. We’ve been here many times and it never disappoints. Shoutout to Sam, who’s been our waiter more than once and is always amazing — super friendly, attentive, and genuinely pleasant every time we’re in. You can tell he cares about the experience. Great music, plenty of screens for watching games, and a strong beer selection. It’s the kind of pub you keep coming back to, whether you’re here for a game or just a relaxed night out. Highly recommend.
Disappointed in our visit. We were in town for a concert so gave ourselves to just over 2 hours. I ordered the Guinness stew which after over an hour finally arrived, and was extremely spicy. My husband who ordered the bangers and mash was also surprised how spicy my stew was. The menu gave no indication that it was spicy at all nor would Guinness steak stew typically be spicy. I would have asked the server for something else but after waiting an hour for it to arrive I could not wait another hour for another meal and still make the concert. I ate the steak out of the stew, which was tender at least, and then I ate some of my husband's mashed potatoes in an attempt to quench the fire that water and Guinness could not touch. I thought perhaps ordering a dessert would be the way to go but after inquiring I was told it would take about 40 minutes so that was also out. Ended up leaving hungry and with a mouth on fire. I do have a wimpy mouth so I typically avoid anything spicy. My husband and I would not return.
What an amazing meal, atmosphere, everything! “Pubbier” than some I’ve been to in Britain. They had our favourite beers on tap (Heineken & Guinness) and the food was incredible. Highly recommend both the Guinness Stew and Steak Salad. Chimmichurri is killer. Thanks especially to our server Sam! Glasses never got below 1/4 ;-)
