I have a 9 month old Golden Retriever named Phoenix. Prior to enrolling her in the board & train, I had many questions. Sheldon gave me the time and answered all of them thoroughly, which put my mind at ease. My biggest struggle was her pulling on the leash and jumping, that I couldnāt break. Sheldon did an amazing job with her training. The consistent video updates and texts to show her progress was much appreciated. Iām extremely happy with the training and the ability to reach out when I have questions with any corrections. Thank you (for the 1,000th time) Sheldon!
Sheldon was great to work with. He listened to our needs and was able to get Riley, a very active Vizsla 8 month old trained and ready to come home. We were updated every few days with her progress and he has followed up since dropping her off to make sure we are spending the appropriate amount of time with Riley ourselves so that she will recognizes us as her trainers. We would recommend Sheldon as an excellent dog trainer for anyone with the need.
Sheldon is AWESOME. We sent our 6 month old chocolate lab to him to be trained and her improvement has been wonderful. She listens so much better than she did before. Of course, there were some hiccups when she came home, which is to be expected. But Sheldon was there every step of the way to answer any questions we had. He calls to check up on how sheās doing and always reminds us that heās there if we need him. I also loved that he sent us photos and videos when she was with him. I would definitely send another dog to him to be trained. Money well spent.
We were so fortunate to find Jarad Richards, of Central Texas Dog Training Services!! Rico, our beloved male Chihuahua mix, was being territorial, nervous, leash aggressive and defiant. To make matters worse, we had just got a second dog. A female puppy, Cavapoo. Sheās very sweet and submissive but the guarding, baiting and taunting was scary and made us very nervous that Rico would hurt her. We could see that these behaviors were fear based but we didnāt know how to help him with his anxiety. Daily walks became a very stressful event. If there were other dogs out, we could count on a total s**t show of barking, lunging and uncontrollable behavior. So much so that we nicknamed Rico, Joe Pesci! Funny š Not Funny š„ŗ We adopted Rico when he was about 1-1/2 years old and heās 4 now. These behaviors ramped up over the last year and we were desperate to find help. He was rushing the door, barking like a mad dog, even nipping at the legs and feet of guests in our home. Jarad taught Rico that he doesnāt have to worry about being in charge, because heās not! With the use of training tools, including a shock collar to help Rico focus, he patiently transformed our little guy back into a sweet member of our family. Jarad had Rico for 30 days. He trained him with kindness and a gentle hand. He developed a trust with āBaby Boyā (Jaradās pet name for Rico) which lead to Rico developing confidence and that cured him of his fear and anxious behaviors. All of which, I understand now, were brought about by our bad parenting and lack of rules and discipline. We were of course worried about how it would go but we got videos and great communication which made us feel more at ease. Jarad trained Rico in his own home. He lived with Jarad and his family and in the training videos you can see how nice and clean and calm the environment is. At the end of his training, Jarad drove Rico home to us and spent about an hour training US on how to interact with Rico. It was about a 3 hour drive for Jarad but he was happy to do it. Jaradās van is so impressive! Super clean and amazingly outfitted to safely and securely transport the dogs. Heās spent a lot of $$ making it nice and he keeps it nice. You can tell Jared takes immense pride in what he does. We have not had any trouble continuing the training and working with Rico. He walks calmly, heās respectful, heās even playing with his little sister. ā¤ļøš¶ Thank you, Jarad for giving us back our boy. If I could give you more than five stars I would!
