We headed to the barrel for my MILs birthday. I called to make reservations as it was a Saturday evening plan. When I called I had asked “do you do anything for birthdays?” He replied “Yes, just let a waiter now and they’ll bring out a slice of cake.” Our waitress was told and nothing was done for my MIL. I am not one to push, so I purchased a dessert. Everything was delicious 🤤 Waitress checked in often, food remained hot and dishes were of amazing quantity and quality for the price. Would be returning in the future.

One of my favorite pastimes is eating chicken parmigiana and this place did not disappoint. Very well done, juicy yet crispy, and loaded with mozzarella! Quite surprised by the large dessert offering. Full tray of assorted cheesecakes to choose from. All I heard was "chocolate" and "peanut butter" but very pleased with my decision. May have to return for my next favorite pastime... eating lasagna.

Today I went to the Barrel Restaurant and had a great conversation with Nick Kokkoros. Learned a lot about the amazing history and how much they support our community. After our conversation for an up and coming article I’m writing. My wife and I had a lunch date. I had to get my personal favourites. The mozzarella sticks that are made in house. The arancini balls. Then I tried their spinach dip for the first time. That was a great idea. The flavour profile of their spinach dip is like nothing anywhere else. We then got a pepperoni pizza, the in house made lasagna and then I decided to try their chicken souvlaki. The in house made Taziki with the roasted potato that came with it was delicious. I ate all my potato before finishing the chicken. I also got a small Greek salad. You have to eat your vegetables. I am a frequent customer here. Ordering 2-5 times a month. They’re huge local supporters and that just another reason on top of all the other ones that keep me supporting them.

Wow! There is a reason this restaurant has been around over 3 decades! From the minute we walked in we were greeted with a warm smile. Our server Rose was a real delight, helping us navigate the extensive menu, and ensuring our drinks never ran dry. We dont usually have dessert but when they bring the selection to you its impossible to resist. The triple chocolate cake was so good, as was the carrot cake cheesecake. The food is phenominal, from the homemade mozza sticks to the calamari and mussels, everything was fantastic. We plan to work our way through the menu over the course of the year!
