I purchased a first birthday cake there and it had plastic baked right in. I contacted the store via Facebook and I can see that my message was read but there was no reply. This could have been extremely unsafe had it been given to a child, especially since it was for a first birthday party.

Bakery seems to always be running out of items on regular basis. Shelves full of holes as missing items.7 grain & 12 grain not here!! In the deli the fried chicken is dry and tasteless. They advertise items in flyer and do not have it! ie pork bellies 2 weeks ago. I have been going to FarmBoy more often as this place is disappointing. Update July 14/25 After paying 2/$4 I was at Giant tiger for turkey gravy pkg look at photo $1.47 ea

After years and years of doing my own groceries here.. and a decade before that of my family shopping here.. I’m just completely over this place in every possible way. The biggest problems? They've been mentioned in other reviews, but here’s mine: Fake sale prices. Every single item is available at other stores for $1 to $5 less. We all know grocery stores inflate prices, but marking up every single item this much is ridiculous and borderline theft. Second, their delivery service is garbage. If you don’t care about your customers or clearly don’t want to do deliveries, then just stop offering them. They’ll leave your order sitting in what I assume is a walk-in fridge for half a day, then deliver you half-thawed frozen food like that’s normal. As if that’s not bad enough, they’ll throw in rotting potatoes or "fresh" items already going off. Out of nearly 20 orders, I’ve maybe had two bags of potatoes that weren’t moldy or sprouting long white roots. It honestly feels like some of the staff.. and definitely the management.. have zero common sense. I’ve had Swanson pies leaking in the box, milk and cream curdled before the best-before date (before even being opened). We've even received expired foods and even a pack of bacon that expired almost a month prior... Bacon... You know how long that takes to expire? I’m not an idiot.. I used to work at another grocery store in town that pulled the same tricks. I know what’s going on. This store isn’t meant for the rich, the smart, or people who care about quality. It’s for people who don’t know better.. or worse, the ones with Stockholm syndrome, convinced that ā€œthey careā€ or ā€œthey’re tryingā€ because that’s what someone told them. If you shop here regularly, I’m sorry.. but you’re being taken for a ride. This place has become a joke.

🌹 šŸ‡ØšŸ‡¦ Selection is good but prices are ridiculously exorbitant compared to other stores. The website is one of the worst I have used. The algorithm is terribly wonky, slow with constant buffering. It reminds me of Shopper's Drug Mart and Walmart's site (although I no longer shop at the latter because it is U.S. owned. All these companies can learn how to program a website that functions well from Amazon (I don't shop at that U.S. business either). Search parameters are ridiculous. I searched for instant coffee and no results were found. What?! Of course the store would probably blame my $2000 computer, and a messy cache or cookies rather than a poorly designed and functioning website. No one takes accountability for their incompetence any more. Yes, the store is clean and well stocked compared to some others but I refuse to pay a dollar more for the same bag of chips just so I have a choice of artisan bread and expensive cheeses to admire. I am not entirely a fan of Loblaws owned businesses either. They have had some very questionable business practices here in Canada. Some companies will just never get it. Nor will they ever care.
