I don’t normally review but I think it’s important feedback for people to be able to improve. It had been a while since I got my hair cut so it was dry and I had gone between henna and colour so the bottom parts of my hair were greenish. My goal was to cut a bob and get rid of the greenish hue. I saw, I believe Natalie. Using just a toner she did mostly get rid of the discolouration. I figured the rest would be cut out. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and I am realistic, if you can’t do what I am asking I expect the people who I am paying quite a bit for.. the professionals to say “no not on your hair” or “what about.. this”. Anyway the cut was long layers, but she gave me 0 layers and because of that I still have greenish in my hair. I guess I feel like she didn’t listen, she seemed preoccupied with what was going on in the shop and repeatedly asked me what I did and if I had a trip planned which I had told her when I sat down I had a business trip. She did ask me in the end if I was happy but it’s hard to see when they styled your hair. She was a very sweet girl and everyone there is very nice, I can say that as a positive. I will say in fairness I didn’t go back to give them the chance to fix it. I just felt she wasn’t the person for me and that always feels uncomfortable. So I’d rather pay another $100 to get it fixed.

I’ve been coming to Opal and Ivy Since November. I can confidently say as somebody who gets her hair done frequently I will never change salons again. I come here for everything, hair, waxing, tinting and all around the connections I’ve made here as a client. I personally see Jazym Weibe who has been the best hair stylist I have been to, to date. She is very detailed and wants you to walk out with all your hair goals while also being very transparent with your hair needs. She creates memorable experiences with the people in her chair. She makes you feel like she’s a friend you haven’t seen in ages and you pick up right where you started! She has made me feel more confident in my hair journey than anybody I know! Amanda is a fanatic owner who strives for her environment to be welcoming and positive. They are very accommodating for scheduling as well!! All staff members here are wonderful and I could not ever recommend a better place than this. You will not be disappointed with any of there services, especially customer service.

I get my hair done by Alexa. We always have a great time and I leave looking great. The salon is cozy and everyone is welcoming, from saying Hello! to offering me a beverage when I come in. Highly recommend !

From the time I booked my appointment with the lovely gentleman who answered the phone, to the time I left, I have no notes. Amanda was accommodating, attentive, listened to my concerns and eased my anxiety. She not only gave me a beautiful hairstyle, but she restored my confidence.
