The shop was beautiful esthetically and the ladies were super nice but this was the worst set of nails Ive ever had! I get an overlay over my natural nails she tried something called gel builder which was supposed to be “better”. Costed more but definitely wasn’t better. My nails are so lumpy and flimsy. In a week two were broken right in the middle! I now have three broke nails!!! They look terrible!! Im so upset I paid $80 for my nails alone over $150 all together!! My natural nails are all gone now I had to cut them all off!!
I am not someone who often leaves bad reviews, as I’m very forgiving. But this time, I left the place crying so I have to. I walked in with a picture and idea in mind of what i wanted. She mentioned from the very beginning that my nails would not look like the picture because the shape is different. I was OK with this because I knew that I could watch what she was doing in guide/coach her on if I liked it or if there’s anything that needed to be changed midway through. So as I started realizing it was not like the picture at all, I asked her to do something else. Again I showed her a different new picture. I knew it wasn’t too late (got my nails done enough times). She mentioned how I might not like how those come out either and to stick with this. I asked her if she could show me one on the other hand and she said I don’t know how to do that. When I asked questions about why my nails looked matte instead of gloss, she responded, “I’m not done yet don’t worry I know what I’m doing.” At this point, I had accepted my faith. When she finished and asked me if I liked it, ofcourse I said not really. Her response- why didn’t you tell me earlier? 🤯I told her I tried but she didn’t listen. Then she huffed and puffed asking me what I wanted to do. I then again showed her the same picture as before, and she said oh we don’t have that and proceeded to bring a box of powders over. Then she said, is this what you want? I was so confused. I said, I’m not sure how to do it so I don’t know, it’s just called “jelly nails.” But you are the tech/professional so that’s why Im asking you. The woman next to me said I was being combative, yet I was defending myself. The techs frustration was somehow valid and my speaking up was not. At that point I asked her to leave everything the way it is so I can go and get them fixed somewhere else. I got up crying, not only embarrassed for speaking up but completely misunderstood by another customer who has not even been there the whole time to understand the situation. I was so upset I didn’t even get her name. I understand the techs fear of dealing with difficult customers. But cmon it’s common sense when you are in this industry, It’s their job though to learn to be accommodating and make the client happy! I understand their fear of never making a client happy too but why not try? I know I tried my best to over communicate and be thorough, but all of it was blown out of proportion. If I could give less stars, I would. Beyond hurt. PS. I went down the street to Oscar’s to get them fixed. They understood exactly what I wanted and I was in/out in 10 minutes. My suggestion- go there instead!
I wish I had read more reviews before booking this place. Services: Full set on nails and polish change on toes. Total cost $72 Pros:Friendly people, great selection of polish colors, clean facilities. Cons: Quality of work needs to be improved for the amount they charge. I shouldn't have to go behind you to clean polish off my skin multiple times and in multiple places. Cuticle job also not very good.
