This hotel is in a great location downtown and very easy to get to. Staff are friendly, including Teri at the front desk who always greeted us with a genuine smile and conversation while we were there. She is knowledgeable and an asset to this property. The hotel itself is updated, VERY clean, quiet and the water pressure in the shower is the best I’ve seen! The head is about 7ft off the ground so even the tall people can enjoy a nice shower. Next login in the room is great addition. If you had a higher floor facing the harbour, you probably had a great view. We had the 6th floor “City View” and all we could see was the full parking lot. The Restaurant / Room Service are on the pricier side, but that’s to be expected. The food was tasty though and made for a good snack when needed. My only complaint is the parking situation. There are not enough spots as they have rooms. Both nights we were there we had to park either around the corner on another property’s lot (as advised by staff) which resulted in a 5 min walk uphill beck to the hotel entrance or squeeze into a spot behind in what seems like staff parking. I get property is tight, but it seems the parking lot was an afterthought when they expanded the hotel.

We stayed at the Courtyard 4 of the 8 nights we were in Newfoundland. This hotel is a great location within walking distance to downtown shopping and restaurants. Very friendly, helpful staff. We never heard another guest the entire time we were there. We like a room with good air conditioning and we were able to get it perfect for sleeping. The layout is typical of what you would find at similar hotels. I liked the fridge with a little counter area above with coffee maker so we could fix our yogurt in the mornings. The bed was very comfortable and really hot water in the shower with excellent water pressure. If you want a quiet stay with easy access to what St. Johns has to offer, I would recommend the Courtyard. Terri at the front desk was AWESOME too,

Hotel was nice but lost many points for this incident. Travelling abroad in the morning. Went to bed early to get a good rest as I would be travelling for 2-3 days. Around midnight, phone rings. "Are you having a party because it sounds like I have a crowd out in my room" It was only me, having the best sleep I had in a year, and the fan running in my room. I know I snore but come on. Once I got back in the bed, I did hear the ruckus she called about, but I didn't get back to sleep, teenagers or whatever out partying on the floor nearby. This lady with the hotel, she couldn't go investigate this, she just picked up the phone and start dialing room numbers on the 7th floor and whoever took the blame solved her problem? Not only did she mess up my sleep but she also never solved the problem because when I went to get up at 4 am to go to the airport, the party was still on the go with the noise.

This is my 4th trip to this hotel. The staff are so friendly and effective. Terry at the front desk is a real gem! I even got a hug from her this trip. The hotel is quiet and comfortable and close to all the fun stuff st John’s has to offer!
