After a serious fall that resulted in a full-thickness supraspinatus tendon tear and AC separation in my dominant right arm, I was faced with one of the most challenging times of my life physically, mentally, and emotionally. Following consultations, imaging (X-rays, ultrasound, and MRI), and visits to the fracture clinic at the hospital, I was told that without surgery, I would likely lose full mobility of my dominant right arm and hand. This was devastating news. Thankfully, I was referred to an incredible registered physiotherapist ‘Johnny Chaya’ who has been an absolute cornerstone in my recovery, both before and after surgery. From day one, Johnny’s professionalism, humility, patience, and kindness have stood out. He is incredibly knowledgeable in his field and utilizes a wide range of strategies and therapeutic techniques that have been instrumental in my healing. Whether it was managing pain, improving my range of motion, or helping me rebuild strength, he has supported me at every stage with genuine care and dedication.
