I absolutely love the belly dance course with the wonderful and professional teacher Janine! She is so kind, patient, and full of positive energy. Every class is exciting and empowering — I always leave feeling happy, confident, and motivated. Janine explains the moves clearly, helps each student improve, and creates such a warm and supportive atmosphere. I can’t wait for every class! Highly recommended to anyone who wants to learn belly dancing and enjoy every moment of it! 💃✨
This week, I started my fitness journey by joining World Gym Acadie with my cousin as his guest under the unlimited guest VIP membership. With just about 100 days left until summer, I’m determined to get my summer body together, and so far, this gym has been the perfect place to kickstart that goal. My experience has been great so far, and I wanted to share a detailed review of what I’ve discovered. Facilities: World Gym Acadie has really impressed me with its spacious and well-maintained facilities. The layout is well-organized, and there’s a ton of equipment to go around. One of the highlights for me has been the women’s-only section, which is conveniently located near the locker rooms. It’s been nearly empty during my morning visits, giving me the privacy and space I need to feel more comfortable and focused. 1. Cardio and Weight Training Areas: The cardio section is top-notch — there are plenty of treadmills, stationary bikes, ellipticals, and rowing machines. Everything is neatly organized, and I haven’t come across a broken machine yet, which is a big plus. It’s also really bright and clean, making it an enjoyable place to get your heart rate up. The weight training area is equally impressive, offering everything from free weights to resistance machines and squat racks. There’s plenty of variety, so whether I’m looking to tone or build strength, I have all the equipment I need. The space is spacious and never feels overcrowded, which makes it easier to focus on my workout. 2. Amenities: The gym’s amenities are another major highlight. The locker rooms are clean and well-maintained, with private showers and a dry sauna. I’ve had no issues finding a locker or with the cleanliness of the facilities, which really makes a difference in the overall experience. 3. Parking: A huge perk is the free parking. In a city like Montreal, finding parking can be a real hassle, but World Gym Acadie offers plenty of spaces. I’ve never had trouble finding a spot, even during busier times, so that’s a major convenience. Staff and Atmosphere: The staff at World Gym Acadie has been amazing so far — they’re friendly, approachable, and always greet me with a smile. As someone who’s just getting back into the gym, it’s nice to be in such a supportive and non-intimidating environment. I feel comfortable asking questions, and the staff is happy to help. The atmosphere is relaxed yet motivating, with a good mix of people ranging from young professionals to older adults. There’s a really nice balance of energy in the gym that keeps me motivated without feeling overwhelmed. Membership Options and Pricing: Right now, I’m enjoying the benefits of being an unlimited guest under my cousin’s VIP membership. While it’s been great to get in for free, there is a bit of a hassle with filling out a form every time I visit and using a different code to get in. You also have to show your ID each time, which can be a bit inconvenient for recurring guests. That said, it’s totally worth it for the free access. If I were to join on my own, the pricing seems pretty reasonable, especially if I wanted access to group classes, the sauna, or tanning services. They often have discounts and promotions, including student rates, which would definitely make it more affordable for anyone on a budget. Conclusion: So far, I’ve really enjoyed my experience at World Gym Acadie. It’s the perfect place for me to work on getting my summer body, and the combination of excellent facilities, friendly staff, and motivating atmosphere makes it an ideal fit for my fitness journey. I’m excited to see how much progress I can make in the next 100 days leading up to summer. If you’re looking for a gym that offers variety, great amenities, and a welcoming vibe, I highly recommend giving World Gym Acadie a try!
I really love this gym, and one of the main reasons is the belly dancing classes. I’ve tried a few classes over the years, but the one that truly made me fall in love with belly dancing — and turned it into my passion — is Janine’s class. She’s an amazing teacher and such a charismatic person. Her classes are always fun, creative, and full of color and energy. Janine is incredibly talented and graceful; whenever she dances, she transmits her aura and passion through her elegant movements. Her class is honestly my favorite thing about the entire gym. 💃✨
The gym has potential but lacks consistency — especially with the sauna, which is often not working!! There’s also a noticeable lack of discipline, as some members walk into the sauna with shoes on, which is unhygienic!! The facility is much better in the mornings. it’s quiet, clean, and a good environment to train if your schedule allows. However, by the evening, the gym often becomes messy and develops an unpleasant smell. I’m giving 1 star only because of the positive morning experience and cleanliness during that time.
