Several times, I have given them short notice on needing new insurance - whether for cars, personal items and a second property - and they have turned around the insurance I need each time as quickly as I could possibly hope. This agency is a liar and scammers. AVOID! Please read the full experience so you don't get scammed too. I insured my motorcycle with them last year. As of July 10th it was the renewal date. But I sold my motorcycle on June 26th, on June 27th I called them to ask for a cancelation of the renewal. They said I need to send an e-mail for a cancelation request. Which I did and also went to their office to provide the copies of the documents of sale to make the process faster. They said I will get contacted in 2 business days. Never happened. Called them on July 2nd, Lorie picked up the phone and said she canceled the policy. I asked a proof and documents of the cancelation she said It's coming from the head office, Desjardins will send it in 2 business days. She also sended me an e-mail after the call just saying "Yes it's canceled." Still 0 proof, 0 documents or anything. Today was the renewal date and I wanted to check it from the Desjardins website to see if my policy is still active. Yes! As you already guessed it was active! I called them right away. Receptionist took the call said he is not authorized to cancel the policy and Lorie is not here but will send her a note. I hang up and called Desjardins right away. Updated the person with the situation. They took action and enforced the cancelation right away. Lorie's office called me back and that receptionist who is "not authorized" to do the cancelation told me now he can magicly authorized and canceled my policy. This is nothing but a fraud at this point. They basically lied to me and got me charged for a vehicle I don't owe anymore! I'm going to follow up with a lawsuit.
