First time coming here last night and I fear I may not want to go to another pub in Toronto ever again. The exterior of the restaurant is so cute and colourful, really mimicking that old pub architecture. Service was great, so quick, efficient and looked after every table really well. The onion rings were delicious. I had the fish and chips and they were some of the best I’ve had in a long time - breading was crispy with a beautiful flaky cut of haddock. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich and devoured it. Prices were beyond fair for all the food we got, and I had a lovely pour of Guinness as well. Food blogs didn’t lie when they called this place Toronto’s best Irish Pub.

Just visiting from Alberta and we were close by and needed some food after a long day of walking! The atmosphere is lively, servers friendly and the food was amazing. I had spring rolls to start and they were crispy and perfectly cooked, they come with sweet chili sauce which is on the warmer side. I had chicken wings and fries for my main. The songs were crispy and the honey garlic sauce was delicious. Fries were soft yet crispy and seasoned well. My friends had the calamari salad and chicken quesadilla, which both said were excellent. Definitely will be back!

What is there to say about P.J. O’Brien that we don’t already know? I haven’t been here since 2012, so fast forward to 2025.. it’s still the same. The hostess was very accommodating as we did not have a reservation and we had three people. We got comfy in the corner of the restaurant and we sat pretty good at one table. The restaurant does get VERY loud, hard to hear your company. The food here I find is good, got the bangers and mash. My friends also like their food. Sometimes service is a hit or miss, they are so busy and not enough wait staff. Took us a while to flag down a server for extra cutlery. Other than that, it’s always a good time.

Great food, great atmosphere, TERRIBLE & RUDE service. Nice for the rest of the team, just one waitress. Paid 18% tip to be treated aggressively. 👍 So great. Would give 0 star to service if I can. Made reservation days before for 2, however to be the last one sat down. Was given a 4 people slot by the waitress, later she came back not to check on food but to ask about “the rest of party”, read booking before ask. When I told them there’s no rest of party, she ROLLED EYES and walked away. She came back took our drinks away BEFORE we were leaving. If you can’t read properly reservation you probably shouldn’t be waiting tables. The tip is for the rest of the nice team, not you.
