Customer experiences
This place is WAY cooler than I am, but still so good - the jam and biscuits are about the best you're ever going to have in this lifetime, and the rest of the food is excellent as well! This is the real locals spot that real locals love and will tolerate you and your tourist family too, because they know it's too good not to share!
Had the fried green tomatoes Benny and a megamosa. Everything was delicious. The jam bar was a fun treat. Try the peach rosemary jam. It was definitely our favorite. The bloody was fantastic. My boyfriend could not stop raving about the southern scramble. All in all, a great breakfast spot!
Order at the counter, grab a table and wait for your food to be brought out. I ordered a Filthy Animal biscuit with an iced chocolate cake latte. The filthy animal had a tasty gravy on top of biscuit with scrambled eggs, pimento cheese, scrambled eggs and bacon. It also had a piece of fried chicken that pretty much ruined the dish. It was so thin and dry, it was more breading than actual chicken. Very disappointing. The chocolate cake latte was probably one of the worst lattes I've ever had. It tasted like water with a weak espresso shot. There was absolutely no flavor. I didn't even taste milk. A very deflating meal to start the day.
Hands down, these are some of the best biscuits I've ever had! They're large, fluffy, and incredibly soft on the inside. Biscuit Head is a must visit if you're in the area and craving a fun, lively breakfast spot. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful. What truly impressed me was their wide variety of house made jams! They have jam stations where customers can mix and match, trying different flavors on their biscuits. I highly recommend the raspberry, peach rosemary, and mango chili jams; but they're all fantastic! I loved them so much that I bought a few bottles to take home. The restaurant itself is spacious, with seating options for large groups or just a party of two. There's also a charming outdoor patio with picnic-style tables, perfect for a cool spring morning.
Biscuit Head is a southern restaurant (us).
