Hidden in plain sight on Notre Dame, this restaurant feels like a well-kept secret whispered only among those who know where culinary brilliance hides. From the moment you step through the door, you're wrapped in an atmosphere that's open, airy, and inviting, with a Manitoba style. The menu is a revelation. Each dish is a playful fusion of Métis tradition and Levant, making this one of the most unique cuisine marriages we’ve ever had. Distinctive , yet singing in perfect harmony. Even the drinks follow this narrative: pairing Prairie with Middle East. Service? Impeccable. Attentive without hovering. And the staff genuinely seemed to love the food they were serving—always a promising sign. Bistro on Notre Dame delivers beyond expectations.

Must try: bannock (phenomenal), duck (cooked perfectly, smoky), steak & oyster mushroom (the mushroom tasted really great) Could have been five but honey chips were burnt so it tasted bitter. The onion rings was also burnt and over battered (the batter's seasoning didn't also match the pickle onion). The meat platter was also dried (bison and morel are usually lean and they cooked it well-done plus they put it on a hot skillet). Otherwise I think it would have been 5 star

Amazing!! I appreciate the locally sourced ingredients, to the unique twists put on their dishes. You must try the stinging nettle drink. I am also very happy to support a local indigenous business. New favorite spot.

Had never been to this place before, but the Le Burger Week burger sounded really good. It didn't disappoint. A real great blend of locally sourced ingredients. I definitely want to return and try some more of the menu.
