Nice location, but very poor dental treatment. 1. During my first visit, they overcharged for an initial hygiene assessment, which cost me around $900 CAD. They also billed my insurance $60 for a so-called ‘consultation,’ which was essentially the hygienist reminding me to floss during the cleaning session. 2. They recommended a filling, which only worsened my tooth sensitivity and pain. Despite multiple follow-up visits, which were both painful and ineffective, they ultimately told me to ‘live with the pain.’ Several months later, I sought help at another dental clinic, where I was properly diagnosed with root inflammation. The root canal treatment they performed completely resolved the issue. Why Downtown Dental failed to diagnose the problem and put my tooth at risk remains a mystery to me. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend avoiding this clinic for any serious dental treatment.
