Room was ok, shower was a bit stiff. Ok price for the room. Breakfast was good except no fruit which was strange (there were fruit juices). The lady did go and find my son some fruit yesterday without fuss but it did seem a strange request. Reception very friendly. Ask for a ground floor room if you struggle with stairs as ther is no guest lift (there is a service lift).

Late booking made for the same day. Friendly staff who are polite and helpful. Loads of parking. Rooms have what you need. Beautiful dining area and a really interesting building. If I was in the area again I would definitely use

The hotel isn’t too far from the train station/centre of town so location wise it’s pretty handy. The rooms are decent with spacious bathrooms and clean. They have fans, iron/ironing board inside and kettles with coffee/tea. They host weddings and events here, it would be nice to be informed as a hotel guest when they are taking place so that you don’t drive in and get blocked by cones, disrupting the wedding party. (they pick and choose when to close the side gates, at various times of the day they are closed) Booking.com shows that they provide housekeeping daily but there’s a letter in the room saying this is no longer provided, quite unexpected for a hotel that allows bookings longer than a day or two.

Good hotel, friendly staff. Decor is a little dated and rooms are a little smaller than some other hotels, but good enough for overnight visit. Breakfast is nice. Decent value for money.
