Bouclair Whitby

I just started shopping at this location and really love this Bouclair store because they have a lot of new inventory that is updated frequently, and they also carry and good selection of clearance/sale items. I always know that if I go in there to browse I will leave with something on a great deal. My issue is with the fragrance they pump at the exit right by the cashier. It is too strong and actually triggered my perume sensitivity today, while waiting for my pickup items I had to physically leave the store. The fragrance is really overpowering and in my case it causes migraine, nausea and light sensitivity. I had to sit in my car for almost 30 minutes waiting for the headache to subside before driving. This is a health risk not just to customers but more importantly your employees, espdcially anyone who is stationed at the cash because the machine pumping the fragrance out is resting above on a rafter less than a foot from the cash. Artificial fragrances have been shown to a hazard; they interrupt endocrine and hormones and cause breathing issues in people with respiratory illnesses. Please consider removing it or moving it from above the registers.. its basically like being sprayed with febreeze or airwick. I have spoken to 2 of the staff who also complained it gives the headache also... while it smells great, it is simply too much.

I ordered several items from the Bouclair website because many of their products are not available in store. I waited almost a month for the items to arrive for in-store pickup. Unfortunately, this is the second time I’ve received broken items. When I arrived to pick up my order, the staff was neither friendly nor helpful. They brought the boxes to the front counter, asked me to sign the invoice, and told me to take them as is. There was no attempt to open the boxes or inspect the items before I left the store. Once I got home and opened them, I discovered that some of the items were broken. At the very least, staff should inspect fragile items with the customer present before they leave the store, especially after such a long wait. I am currently furnishing a new home, and while Bouclair has beautiful décor and furniture, the customer service experience was disappointing. The staff appeared dismissive and avoided engaging with customers. Because of repeated issues with damaged items and poor service, I would not shop here again.

Mirror I purchased from Bouclair I have no complaints about. But I have to leave a review warning people to beware when buying things with these stickers on it. A mirror is breakable and this sticker required a lot to remove. Makes no sense why they’d put this type of sticker directly on something we intend to hang in our home. I had to purchase Goo Gone as well as a scraper to remove this. The Goo Gone soaked on my mirror for 15+ minutes and still didn’t remove sticker. I had to scrape it in hopes of not applying too much pressure that would break my mirror. Then I had to windex it multiple times after to get rid of the streaks from the Goo Gone. If I had of known all of this I literally would have purchased a mirror somewhere else that doesn’t apply these irrelevant stickers right on the front of the item I bought. Save yourself the time and the money and buy something without stickers on the face of your item.
