This place is hands down one of my favorites, upscale without feeling stuffy. I love it for lunch, happy hour, date night, catching up with friends, or just getting dessert and wine at the bar with a book. The food is incredible and the menu changes regularly. It's one of the only places I will order a salad from because they are that good. It's a cozy atmosphere in the winter, and the tables outside are great in the summertime. They are also now on DoorDash for lunch, which is excellent news for me and less excellent for my food budget... But really, whether you want one of the best burgers in Missoula at lunchtime, oysters and a glass of wine, a fancy delicious dinner... this is it.
My wife and family came here after getting married at the court house. A small group and we wanted something special, but easy, and this was beyond perfect. The food was amazing, the service was excellent, absolutely no complaints. We were very happy all in all and lunch here was a perfect bow on what a beautiful present our day was.
This was our fourth visit to BPR, and once again, the food was outstanding—definitely deserving of a five-star rating! The appetizers we ordered, including escargot, foie gras, fried shrimp, arugula salad, onion soup, and baked brie, were all fantastic and a highlight of the meal. However, I think there are some areas for improvement regarding the service. Despite the restaurant being at about half capacity during dinner, it took nearly 10 minutes for our server to greet us. It would have been helpful to know upfront that several menu items were unavailable, as our server didn’t mention this before we placed our order. Additionally, we noticed that our water and wine glasses weren’t refilled throughout the meal. Lastly, we received multiple plates that were chipped, which seems like an easy fix for a restaurant of this caliber. I genuinely hope BPR can take this feedback into account, as the food quality is exceptional and with a few improvements in service, the overall experience could be even better.
