I have often had meals here - sometimes breakfast and sometimes another meal. I always enjoy my visits. There is a good selection of food, the portions are generous and the quality and prices are very good. The staff are friendly and serve you quickly.

lovely food, it always arrives hot and well presented. I love that the beans and tomato come in a seperate pot (as other places don't seem to do this and it makes a mess everywhere and goes all over the rest of the food! 😫). They also gave me an extra black pudding as I asked for no mushrooms which was great the apple pie and custard is banging!! tastes so good and they're not shy with the custard which is a bonus! definitely is my go to cafe for when I'd like a breakfast 😊 what a scran

My pie was cold in the middle , and mushy peas looked watered down . Mothers fishfingers looked grey inside Brothers bacon looked like it was going to run off the plate. Sister in-laws cheese pie was NICE, tho

It's exactly everything I hoped for from a "Greasy Spoon Café" no disrespect intended. 1st time I went in, I had a Full English, everything on the plate was and hot and the eggs were bang on, and well presented. Very satisfactory meal. 2nd time, ordered the same, except this time I asked to hold the sausages as they're not great quality, the girl offered to replace with blackpudding and it was a brilliant suggestion. I also asked for the toast and bacon to be more well done and they sorted my request to perfection. This is now my go to Hanley Cafe spot. Btw, the chips are lovely too.
