I took my 11-year-old daughter here for a simple gel polish with a French tip and two small flowers. No extensions, no builder gel — nothing fancy at all. We were shocked and honestly angry to be charged $90 for such a basic service. This is absolutely unreasonable and exploitative, especially for a child. Most salons charge this price for both hands and feet, not just a plain gel manicure on tiny fingers! It feels like they completely took advantage of us. Extremely disappointed — we won’t ever come back, and I don’t recommend this place to anyone. Hi Jamie, I’m genuinely shocked by your response and the distortion of facts. Since you’re now accusing me of being misleading, let me clarify a few things — again, with accuracy: 1. Only two nails were designed, not four as you’re now claiming. No rhinestones were applied. That alone contradicts your detailed breakdown. If I had known I’d be charged full price for work that wasn’t done, I wouldn’t have accepted it. 2. You charged me exactly $89.25, which I clearly wrote in the caption of my review — there is no exaggeration. The part of the receipt that was crossed out was done by your staff, who initially admitted a portion of the amount needed to be refunded. It wasn’t cropped to mislead anyone — it was a reflection of the confusion caused by your own staff. 3. Let’s not forget: my daughter’s finger was cut and bleeding during the service. That detail alone says enough about the quality of care and attention she received. For a child to leave a salon with an injury is unacceptable under any circumstances. 4. Your message sounds like gaslighting — trying to paint my concerns as if I’m the one being dishonest. I have no reason to write a negative review unless I had a genuinely unpleasant experience. I stand by every word of my review. If this is how you handle client concerns — with defensiveness and denial instead of reflection — then that says more about your business than any review ever could.

I have been coming to Nailtoepia for around six years now and no other nail salon matches their quality in my opinion. The salon itself is always very clean and their tools are pre-wrapped for every appointment. The nail techs have undeniable talent and are always very kind, patient, and accommodating (I sometimes can't decide what designs to do because there are so many options). I primarily come for gel or acrylic nails but I have tried their other services. Regardless, I have never been disappointed. I highly recommend this spot.

Hands down the best nail salon in Vancouver! They have a beautiful variety of colours, sparkly Swarovski stones, etc. and although I’m super picky with my nails, Jenna is spot on and always does the most gorgeous job! The salon itself is very clean, well maintained and aesthetically pleasing and the prices are very reasonable compared to other nail salons I’ve been to! Nailtoepia impresses me every single time — highly recommend!! ❤️

I visited Nailtoepia for the first time today and got Gel X extensions with nail art. Super happy to have found this place! The salon is clean and calm, and everyone is really nice. Booking was easy and they're very helpful with explaining services and setting prices when booking an appointment. If you want nail art, have photos/inspo pictures handy!! Selina was my nail tech and I really loved how gentle she was when working on my nails and she checked in often to make sure length, shape and design was okay. Lovely salon and will definitely be coming back!
