This week I attended the beginners sewing machine course. It was laid out and planned very well. I instantly felt very welcomed, (even got offered tea and biscuits) which if anyone knows me, it's a quick way to my heart. Both the tutors were very helpful & knowledgeable, but also allowed you to go at your own pace. I walked away with a zip bag, which I plan to store my camera film in. I will definitely be coming back for fabric, and hopefully more courses.

Beautiful little shop that we visited while on holiday in Devon. They had a great range of crafty bits and the lady working there was really lovely.

I visited the shop hoping to find some black-lace / black-net fabric, in order to make a black veil fascinator. Unfortunately, they usually don't sell this type of item. HOWEVER, the lovely lady at the counter took the time to advice and suggest where i could possibly find the fabric (which I ended up finding!). Thanks a lot for your kindness.

I just had to write a review having recently visited as my son wanted to make a bracelet for his girlfriend. Not knowing where to start, this was our place of choice. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with the warmest welcome from a chap who was standing in. He walked us through what we needed to consider and spent the next half an hour with us as we learned and created. We loved the whole experience and went on to make earrings to match. A true delight and if only I were more creative, as the shop was so well stocked with all types of enticing things, if only I knew what to do or had more time. But if you're thinking of giving a unique gift, either handmade by yourself, or other local artists, please do pay this shop a visit. They need our custom to keep a shop like this viable. It would be a great shame to lose it!
