Outstanding service! I recently purchased a home in Truro and after our insurance inspection we had been told to remove the cast iron pipe. I called around to get quotes, and the only company willing to come have a look was C&J brothers. They came and did a scope of the system to see if they could tie into the existing city service. Unfortunately due to the age and condition of the existing services that wasn’t possible. John set a clear expectation of what they could do, what they recommended, and a timeline of what would have to happen. He worked together with the town of Truro to map the existing service pipe, then saved me thousands of dollars by convincing Truro to run a new lateral to the main. His team returned to finish connecting my house to the new service line. Upon digging they found a connection to my neighbours house, something none of us expected. Once that was all sorted they did a fantastic job connecting my house to the new city line. They had to make a bigger hole in my foundation, but did a fantastic job filling the hole. They sealed a large section of the foundation afterward which was beyond expectation but absolutely appreciated. I had no idea plumbers were: plumbers, heavy equipment operators, landscapers, carpenters, foundation experts, but these guys are! In a moment of desperation Chris and John were the only ones willing to help. They saved me thousands of dollars, provided me peace of mind, and completed the job earlier than expected. I’ve already recommended them to family and friends, and we will happily have them back for future Reno’s we’re planning as well as our emergency plumber! When you have a plumbing emergency you need someone willing to answer the phone and show up, and these guys do just that. Thanks Jon, Brandon, Chase, and team for all of your hard work, we REALLY appreciate all of you!

C&J did a couple big jobs for us in 2024. We spent over $10,000 with them. In 2025, one of the jobs needed a very small follow up visit. C&J have been ignoring my request for over a month and at one point suggested I may want to find someone else to do the follow up. I suggest everyone follow their advice - find someone else.

The work done was good but the boss, John was the rudest and most arrogant person I have ever dealt with. Didn't show up when they said would. Dug up my sewer line and put everything on my lawn instead of the other side of the driveway. This caused me to have to get a load of topsoil and grass seed. Also charged me $1000 more than my written quote. Threatened not to refill the hole if I didn't pay in full. Also filled the hole to full so now I have to pay for another ecsavetor to dig some out before I can repave. This company has costed me $2000 or more in the end than quoted. Keep looking for someone else!
