I made 3 meals out of my entree because we made the mistake of ordering the delicious and filling fried artichoke hearts appetizer. Oh yes, and the fresh bread. The desserts looked delicious, but we absolutely had no room for anything else. The wine was value prices for the large pours. We received an excellent value for the price paid.

But.. here's where it gets interesting. I had dinner with a coworker, he gave me cash for his meal, and I paid the tab with my credit card. We BOTH left a cash tip on the table, and the tab amount paid was just for the meals. Tell me why I get an email from my credit card company asking me if I gave a 36% tip on my bill at California Grill and Bar? They took the liberty to go ahead and leave themselves a 36% tip on their own when we had already left a generous cash tip. If it happened to me, I wonder how many more people this has happened to. I hope the manager sees my review and addresses this problem. BTW I sat in the bar area and the chunky guy with glasses was our waiter.
