I’ve been training at AIRA for 2.5 yrs. From the moment you walk through the doors, the first thing you notice is how clean and well-kept everything is. The equipment is spotless and plentiful, the floors are immaculate, and the entire space feels fresh and inviting every single visit. It’s clear that a ton of pride and care goes into maintaining the facility, and it makes such a difference in the overall experience. One of the things I love most is that the gym is the fact that it’s locally owned. You can feel that personal touch in everything—from the warm welcome at the front desk to the thoughtful details throughout the space. There’s a real sense of community here, and it’s obvious the owner is deeply invested in creating a place where people truly feel supported, comfortable, and motivated. And I can’t say enough about the trainers. They are, without exaggeration, incredible. Knowledgeable, encouraging, highly educated in their fields and genuinely passionate about helping people reach their goals. My personal trainer has been especially transformative for me. He pushes me in the best possible way, celebrates my wins, keeps me accountable, and always makes me feel capable and strong. The sessions are challenging in all the right ways, but also fun—I actually look forward to them, which says a lot! The overall atmosphere in the gym is upbeat, positive, and welcoming. Whether you’re new to fitness or someone who trains regularly, you’ll feel right at home. It’s the kind of place where you leave feeling better than when you walked in. If you’re looking for a clean, friendly, locally owned gym with exceptional trainers, I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

I dropped in while visiting my dad in Halifax, and this gym truly exceeded expectations. It has everything you need, great equipment, lots of space, and a really clean, well-organized setup. What stood out most were the people. The trainers and staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. You can tell kelly and the team care about the members and the atmosphere they create. The regulars were just as friendly, maritimers, always so friendly! Whether you’re in town for a day or live here year-round, this is the kind of gym you actually look forward to going to. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Halifax!

Absolutely LOVE this gym. Beautiful streamlined space with half the gym facing spacious windows that look out into nature. Great facility with some of the best fitness machines I've used. Super staff and ability to come and go on your own as well. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend this gym if you’re really into your strength training. I’m new to Halifax and was looking for a gym where I could continue with my online coaching program to build lean muscle mass. Other gyms just didn’t have the equipment I needed but this gym has everything! So many barbells, plates, a squat rack, free weights that go up to a really decent weight. The machines are also great! The gym is always spotless and Kelly has been so friendly and welcoming to me. I couldn’t recommend highly enough! Oh and the gym is never super busy so you’re never waiting for equipment etc and a lovely coffee shop has opened next door too! Love it all!
